    Question

Any of you turbo guys do the install yourself? How hard was it? How long did it take? What tools did you need? I'm slightly more competent than a monkey; would I be able to do it? Thanks smile

yeah, if mechanically inclined, the hardest part is the oilpan ... instead of tapping the pan, you're better off welding the oil return.

Yup... another do-it-yourselfer here. It's not too hard at all.. It's like installng an intake/header/exhaust at the same time and just a few issues with the fuel, oil, and vacuum hose systems. Greg's right. The hardest part is the oil return line. Mounting the inline fuel pump takes time too.

Here's an install article for the Drag kit on a 4th Gen Prelude. The install should be similar on your car without all the fitment issues.

The install itself is not very complicated. It is just time consuming if you don't have all the parts you need or the tools. I take my time and check everything. I'm putting my turbo back on right now. I should finish next week. I spend an hour or so on it everyday because that is all I can afford right now.

Aside from the oil return line location, I think one of the tedious parts was drilling thru my bumper support to mount the intercooler. I had to use my neighbor's drill press, sacrificing 2 of his nice drill bits to make those holes redface. Other than that, it's pretty much bolt-on.
